Fall 2019



October 13, 2019 at 1:00 –  Branch Meeting at Her Majesty Tea Room in Victoria era home 124 S. Race Street, Mishawaka across from the Mishawaka Library with our very own member , Penny Hughes will speak on her role as a woman in community service and real estate over the years. This is a brunch and house tour with the cost of $20.00 per person. Reservations  for members are required by responding to Mary Anne Hurst by Oct. 6, 2018.

November , 2018 Branch Meeting- Date and time pending. A speaker from the YWCA Women’s Shelter will review the various programs offered to support women who have suffered from domestic violence. Guests are welcomed.

Spring 2020

 January 19, 2019 is Little Taste of Peace in honor of Martin Luther King Day.  Time and Place TBA.This program invites people of different racial and religious backgrounds to discuss issues we face of cultural and racial diversity.

February National Girls’ and Women’s Sports Day. Event pending.

March23, 2019  Branch Meeting at Papa Vino’s Restaurant at 12:00 located at 5110 Edison Lakes . A representative from St. Margaret’s House will  discuss their  programs to support women in our area. Attendees will be responsible for their own meals. Please RSVP to Mary Anne Hurst by March 21st, 2019 at mhurst1852@aol.com or 243-1864.

March 19 ,2019 -Gloria Kaufman Lecture at IUSB Campus on the topic of Police Violence against Women of Color. Andrea Ritchie will discuss her book, Invisible No More. The time is 6:30 in the Education and Arts Building. Guests are welcomed. This event is free and open to the public.

Michiana Monologues and Women’s History Month- Details TBA.

April 13, 2019 LUNEFEST- 1:00pm at St. Mary’s College in Madeleva Auditorium-Carroll Hall. Lunafest is a traveling film festival showcasing various women’s topics directed by women. Discussion groups to follow the viewing. There is a cost to attend. Guests are welcomed.

May is Local Scholarship Month and branch fund raising. Local Scholarship Applications are due  by April 28, 2019 for consideration by our Local Awards Committee.

Saturday, June 1, 2019- Annual Meeting and Program -Time and place pending. Election of Officers and Introductions of our local scholarship recipient(s) will be made. Plans will be discussed for the following year. Guests are welcomed.

Summer 2019

Old2Gold  Notre Dame fundraiser at 4H Fairgrounds in early  June ,2020  TBA. This is our biggest fundraiser for the year to support our local scholarship fund.
